11.07.2011 - More gallery pictures will be up in the next few days!

Click here, for a detailed build, and update thread on oOple Forums for the Caster Racing 1/8 scale buggy.

Nene valley raceway has undergone some significant changes since my last video's of the track. I will take a trip up there sometime soon and see what it's like. May also get some track footage of the Caster buggy, actually no, I deffinetely will get some running footage, he he.

If your looking for THE best 1/8 scale motor to power your RC kit, then look no further. Team Tekin have designed the most efficient, and smooth motors out on the market to date. Tekin's T8 line of motor's are simply a fine work of art! From the styling, to the performance, they are the best of the best. I am running one of their 1900kv Buggy motor's in my Caster, It has tons of punch on demand, and stay's at a low temperature no matter how much you push it on the most taxing running surfaces. My runtime has almost doubled, on the same battery pack. From 20-25 mins per pack, to now 40-45mins. Outstanding.

Don't let the price tag put you off, because unlike many other RC products. You ACTUALLY get what you pay for. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I were to convert my truggy to electric. Tekin would be the way I would go, everytime.

09.07.2011 - Enjoying getting to grips with the new way of creating photo galleries! Check em' out!

16.06.2011 - Its Thursday... YAY!

Caster Racing EX1.5 - Throughout the testing I have done so far, the buggy has performed great. Only some minor fine tuning to be done but nothing other than user error.

Parts broken? Lower front a-arm

Amazing durability!

25.05.2011 - General Update

Back! It's been about 2 months since I last posted, just checked up on how the ol' site was doing and saw how long it had been!

Summer is almost here! As from mid to late June, I will be free to be making lots and lots of interesting and action packed bashing and racing video's. My first college year would have passed and can I just say what an awesome year it has been already! Can't wait for the next!

So, if your a regular to the site, you may have heard about some 1/8 EP Buggy's I have been talking about for a while, well... the time has finally come! Today I got my grubby paws on a Caster EX1.5 and got to check it out for a little while at my local hobby shop. For a while I was debating between the standard, and the pro version, but the standard version is much better in my opinion! Its got plastic braces to give some flex and a cheap possible break point, better servo and reciever layout, and a few more things, I'm going to be picking one up next week for £169... this is a great deal! it's usually over £300, but since the manufacturer had a fire and boxes got damaged they had to sell them cheap, the only thing missing is radio gear and ESC, still leaving the chassis in brand new condition, a powerful brushless motor and 9kg servo in place.

Personally I cant wait to get the thing up and running! I'm going to possibly buy the mamba v3 ESC to use with the stock motor until I can get the mamba 2200 motor, because i'm just so eager to get it going! Going with 4s LiPo, and my speky 2.4. Should be a blast.

Ill be running other items such as VP Pro tyres which I already purchased on sale, a JQ wing and some other little bits.

Stay tuned as I will be posting lots of updates on twitter and youtube so follow and subscribe! and you too can enjoy the putting together and adventures we have with the caster buggy!

21.03.2011 - Plans on buying a 1/8th electric buggy!

I can safely say, I have always been 'into' 1/8th electric buggies, As in, I loved watching them race and have always wanted one since i first started the hobby, but never really had the cash or set mind to get one.

Now I most certainly do! not so much the cash but we can work around that, I am planning on getting the Kyosho Inferno VE. I have heard so many great reviews on this kit, so it seems for the bet one to go for! As a backyard basher & racer it should do just fine! the supplied motor and esc combo should do just fine too! as they work together to provide allot of torque which is good for a small track with short run-ups.

In time, when / if* the stock electronics (i.e motor and esc) burn out, i will soon be replacing them with either a Mamba Monster combo or even an M-Troniks G2 water proof combo. Time will only see! I hope it all goes ahead! so keep updated via my youtube channel and i will catch ya' soon!

Take care

28.02.2011 - 3D Aerobatics Plane project

The other day I was searchingthe net and found some old video's I had seen a long time ago. They inspired me to make my very own 3D plane, so that's exactly what I am going to do. I have ordered everything I need to get it built and up and running. This includes; servo's, motor + speed control, depron foam, carbon fibre stiffener rods, batteries, and control horns to be attatched to rudder / ailerons etc...

Some parts have come already, such as the three servo's and the foam, but I will have to wait for another 2 weeks or more for the rest of the gear to arrive since I stupidly ordered from hong kong :/

Never the less, stay tuned for the Build video, from a first time foamy builder's point of view and subscribe to my youtube channel at RCRacing88

06.01.2011 - Traxxas revo ULTIMATE PROJECT

cannot wait to majorly bash this beast!

25.07.2010 - Team Losi Xcelorin 6.5 Brushless Combo system -

At long last i got the Losi System after weighing up the pro's and cons between its competitor in my eyes, The M-Troniks G2 + P2 Combo. I am 100% sure i have made the right choice and am so happy with the system i would reccomend to anyone! No matter what skill level you are at, Beginner or race competitor! The ESC and software have so many tunability options its unreal! you can limit the throttle from 10 - 90% depending again on your current skill level. You can also change many many more things such as amount of acceleration, drag brake and braking power you have, not forgetting Power curve and braking which is also fully adjustable!

so far i have no complaints to make and truely more than satisfied with the system, i have run it as hard as i could on 6 cell 3300 NiMh and both the motor and ESC are just luke warm right afterwards! Truely Outstanding!

i have an unboxing video of the combo on youtube already so head on over to www.youtube.com/rcracing88. Also soon will upload a bashing/speed run/after run review video! Enjoy.

20.07.2010 - Nitro truggy up and running again -

After about an hour of assembling the radio gear back into the car i took it out for a spin! it was suprisingly fast, fastest it has ever driven. But that is becuase i leaned the fuel mixture out a bit. still waiting to but a new shock or shock rod, and soon need to pick up the a-arms. But apart from a small blip, when it landed from jumping, the front right dogbone car out of the center part by the diff. luckily the dogbones are attached at wheel side or i probs would have had to buy another one of them too! I just unscrewed a rod and slipped it right back in. Hopefully next week should have Losi Xcelorin s 6.5.
